Administrative status and invoicing for language courses

Eleonora KAABI pursues her professional activity within the framework of an “umbrella company”. She is an independent contractor of Sud Convergences Provence that grants all the administrative management and has the following contact information:Sud Convergences Provence, RCS d’Aix-en-Provence: 530 665 587 00024,  invoicing address: l’Escapade, bât. E13100 Le Tholonet – E-mail: admin@sud –Telephone: +33 4 93 12 29 05. Since 2016 all the invoices have been directly issued by Larina Translation with the exception of the invoices related to language courses.  

Sud Convergences  has been provided with an official identification number a by the prefect of the region of Provence-Alpes-Maritimes- Côte d’Azur  that justifies the rights to give language courses.

Legal provisions

Translators professional  activity is subject to the legislation of the country where he/she provides his/her translation  services. In accordance with the articles 226-13 and 226-14 of the Penal Code of France, translators  are obliged to maintain professional secrecy.


A nondisclosure agreement may be signed on your request and sent to your e-mail before you entrust us your documents for translation or interpreting assignment.

Basic rates for written translations

For all the translation work, the official invoice shall be established based on the source document. A standard page corresponds to 1800 characters with spaces (=250 words in Word format). If the number of characters is less than one standard page, the translation will be charged as one.

Once the nature of the texts (translation field and other elements) that have to be translated is determined, we set the deadlines with you that will be strictly respected by our specialists.

Depending on the urgency and complexity of the text, a price increase may be applied.

Basic rates for translation

€ 30 per standard page in accordance with the aforementioned definition of a “standard page”.

A price increase from 10% to 30% may be applied in case of extreme complexity of the text (particular terminology, etc.).

Increase for an urgent translation project: 25% to 100% (depending on the degree of urgency).

Discounts on rates will be granted for large translation volumes above 10 standard pages.

All orders from new customers who will be making their first request must be paid before the beginning of the project.

For regular customers, other payment terms are possible.

For orders above 10 standardized pages, an advance of 30% – 50% of the total amount of the order must be paid to Larina Translation before the beginning of the translation project.

The deadlines of the order will start to run on the date of the Customer acceptance of our general terms, the signing of the invoice, and the payment/advance payment of the order.

Interpreting services

Basic interpreting rates (means a consecutive interpreting):

€ 25 – € 70/ hour (depending on the number of hours ordered, the subject and type of service: assistance in congresses, interpreting service during business negotiations, at press conferences, etc.)

For urgent requests for the weekends, the interpreting rates may be increased up to 100%.

*We refund in case of cancellation of an interpreting order up to 48 hours before the scheduled date of the mission.

Any order of interpreting service will be paid in advance, by check or bank transfer in the name of Eleonora Larina-Kaabi.

In case of cancellation of hours of the interpreting service ordered after the final confirmation of the order (for the total number of hours) and the completion of its part, the price of the total number of hours actually not worked will not be refunded.

The possibility to contact an interpreter after 8.00 pm (except in cases of emergencies: accidents, emergency hospitalization, etc.) must be specified in advance and will be billed as an additional service. Other additional services provided by the interpreter, as writing and sending correspondence, finding information for a customer in the evening, etc., after the completion of his interpreting assignment will also be billed.

The total bill for interpreting services includes meal expenses of 15 euros per day, if the interpreter renders services between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm or between 6.00 pm and 9.00 pm. The cost of meals will be 30 euros per day if the interpreting services are provided between 11.00 am and 7.00 pm. Meal expenses are not included in the interpreting service bill if they are paid by the client himself on site, if an interpreter participates in a business lunch/dinner.

* Transport charges may be included in the interpreting bill.

In case of interpreting services in Cannes, Grasse, and within 15 km around these cities the transport charges are not included in the final bill.

* The cost of meals and transportation are calculated based on the official scale used to remunerate interpreters collaborating with the French justice.

Conference calls by telephone must be booked at least 24 hours in advance with a deposit payment of 50% of the total amount that will not be refunded if the order is cancelled less than 24 hours before the beginning of the conference.

The conference calls  by telephone that must be made on a Saturday, must be booked at least 48 hours in advance and will be billed according to the basic price + 50% as a surcharge for working at the weekend with a deposit of 50% of the total amount that will be not refunded in case of cancellation less than 24 hours before the beginning of the conference.

In the case of interpreting service at conferences and press conferences, the texts of the speeches must be provided at least 7 working days before the presumed date of the event.
